Go Back to Basics... Take Your Family 'Off Grid'
 for your next adventure

This is what one family did for their post lockdown break this summer.

If you search, "remote lodge in Scotland", chances are you will come across this Highland hideaway. Located in the heart of Alladale Wilderness Reserve, the spacious, rustic former hunting lodge has enviable views of the surrounding glens.  Promising simplicity, endless nature, the chance to roam for miles and discover new trails.... this is adventure and freedom at its best.

Deanich Lodge is the kind of place where you can retreat from daily life with family and friends and completely reboot. It's where you spend your days creating lasting memories.

Moments spent sitting by the crystal clear stream, watching resident eagles or daily walks brings endless chances to pay attention to the diversity of nature around you - a place rich in bugs, wild flowers, heather and sightings of red deer. This is wilderness. And with no ipads and iphones, there is time and space to read books and play games together, providing the ideal remote getaway.

One family member summed it up..."Deanich Lodge is not your normal Highland cottage. It is separated by miles of track road from the next settlement and offers what has become very rare in our day and age - unspoiled landscape and quietness.....Alladale Wilderness Reserve is very lucky to be in such good hands, by people who prioritise nature over ever-expanding development.

Alladale Wilderness Reserve is a place where rewilding and hospitality go hand in hand. Deanich Lodge is a self-catering bunkhouse and guests benefit from a fully-equipped kitchen to prepare fresh organic vegetables from the reserve's own Aquaponics garden and wild venison from their land.

There is still availability for late summer and autumn; or get in touch to book for a big family reunion in 2021. The lodge sleeps a maximum of 18. Prices start from £2,750 per week. Visit here for more information.
