The Arrigo Programme Announces Two Women’s Wisdom Retreats in India and Spain
Led by renowned psychotherapist and wisdom teacher Fiona Arrigo, these retreats invite women into deep rest, honest self-enquiry and renewal.
Britain’s leading transformational retreat provider, Fiona Arrigo of The Arrigo Programme, announces the next series of Women’s Wisdom Retreats. The Architecture of Awakening will take place at RAAS Devigarh Palace in Udaipur, India (6–13 November 2025), and She Who is Becoming in Gaucín, Spain (19–25 June 2026).
Now in its 24th year, the Arrigo Programme is known for creating space for women to step away from the demands of modern life – which leaves so many women feeling stretched thin, pulled in too many directions at once. As Fiona says, “So many of us women are caught in the cycle of doing and achieving. We don’t permit ourselves to stop. What we’re offering with these retreats is the opposite – a space to slow down, to breathe, to rest and reflect, and to open to what is waiting within.”
Fiona Arrigo – Visionary, Teacher, Guide
Fiona Arrigo is one of the UK’s most respected retreat leaders, healers and mentors. A trained biodynamic psychotherapist with more than forty years of clinical and spiritual practice, she has guided thousands of people through times of transition, healing and learning how to rebalance their lives. She has a piercing ability to go straight to the heart of a problem and is recognised internationally for weaving deep psychological insight with timeless wisdom in a way that always feels grounded, compassionate, and accessible.
Both retreats will be led personally by Fiona Arrigo and supported by her trusted team. In India she will work alongside holistic embodiment practitioner Kalindi Jordan. In Spain Kalindi is joined by acupuncturist and Five Element practitioner Amanda Rothwell, together with bodyworker and myofascial release expert, Sophie Davis.
Four Core Pillars
Each Women’s Wisdom gathering stands on the Arrigo Programme’s Four Core Pillars: Nurture & Rest, Deep Self-Enquiry, Embodiment Practices, and Community Building.
Together these elements enable women to reclaim the power of stillness and self-care, to engage in deep personal and philosophical reflection, to inhabit their bodies more fully, and to find strength in connection and shared experience. The combination of the personal and the collective is at the heart of why so many participants describe these retreats as life changing.
India: The Architecture of Awakening (6 - 13 November 2025)
Held within the beautiful 18th-century RAAS Devigarh Palace outside Udaipur, this retreat is conceived as a pilgrimage inward. It offers a sanctuary, a place to be held, to receive, and to return to the essential self, stepping forward with clarity and purpose.
Each day invites personal enquiry, somatic bodywork, regenerative breathwork and integration practices, creating space for profound rest while immersing in the warmth of community and the richness of Indian culture. The retreat draws deeply on the spirit of place – guests are invited to receive temple blessings, experience the bold flavours of India in a cookery class, sample the art of jewellery making and enjoy awe-inspiring scenery on early morning hikes. Personalised bodywork sessions from the exceptional spa team support guests, enabling them to settle fully into being.
The aim is to create the conditions for women to return to their essential selves and to awaken their own inner architecture of wisdom.
Spain: She Who is Becoming (19 - 25 June 2026)
She Who is Becoming takes place at the beautiful and spacious Finca Avedin in the healing olive-grove hills of Andalusia. It explores what Fiona calls “rest as sacred activism” – the idea that true transformation arises not from striving, but from allowing. This is a time to come home to the body, to soften, to unfold and to gently unearth what wants to be witnessed, healed or released.
Each day combines a nourishing breakfast with morning movement and a group workshop with Fiona and Kalindi. Afternoons devoted to personal bodywork treatments, breathwork and quiet reflection. Evenings bring candle-lit sound healing, crafting and group singing alongside a delightful dinner that brings the group together around the table.
The retreat asks participants to step away from constant doing, to listen more deeply, and to reclaim their stillness and authority in community.
An Inclusive Invitation
Each retreat is intentionally small and discreet, ensuring an intimate and deeply personal experience. They are for women at all stages of life – those at a crossroads, those seeking clarity, those in recovery, and those simply needing time to step out of the noise. “When women come together in this way, something very real happens,” says Fiona. “There’s a recognition, a remembering. We sit together in truth, and in that space, healing and connection naturally follow.”
