TEALS – Eco Farm Store & Kitchen Opens
Pink grapefruit lemon marmalade, handmade butters from Dorset, the incredible taste and story of black bee honey, fruit vinegars made in Somerset, raw keto almond macaroons, award-winning vegan chocolate – prepare to discover a refreshingly new and different business which showcases some of Britain’s best and most deliciously interesting producers. Just in time for Christmas, and against all odds, entrepreneurial couple Ash and Nick Sinfield have successfully launched TEALS – a farm store and healthy kitchen in Somerset which promises to offer intriguing new shopping experiences for both locals and wanderers alike.
A one-stop-shop for high quality, individually sourced gifts and treats, all with a story to tell, TEALS is about the joy of discovery. The team has sourced and curated a wonderful collection of fresh-name brands from the South West and beyond. Reflecting the philosophy of TEALS itself, as well as promoting the sort of business models our future world needs, most of these brands are small batch, family-run, artisan and with a strong ethical ethos.
It’s not everywhere that you can find beautifully packaged organic, gluten-free turmeric and banana granola. Or stock up on Costa Rican or Guatemalan coffee from Girls who Grind, an organization which empowers women in the coffee industry and buys exclusively from female producers. TEALS is a celebration of independent producers, cool stories and sustainable practices. In an age when it is becoming harder and harder to find the unique, here is a place which champions just that and which has managed to open at a time when so many businesses are struggling.
As Co-founder Nick Sinfield says, “Covid-19 threw a complete curve ball at us, which makes our opening all the more euphoric. We suffered all sorts of subcontractor closures and supply chains under distress and completely missed our summer opening. But they say good businesses open in recessions. As we throw open our doors, we're excited to put that theory to the test and prove something that we all need to remember right now – it’s not all bad news!”
TEALS opens from 12-6pm on Tuesday 8th Dec, then 8am - 6pm (7 days a week).
